Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Shadowkit is made by 0x99M (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Shadowkit app on Android or iOS and this website, shadowkit.app. The short version: the app is built so that there is nothing to collect.

1. Summary

  • No account. You never sign up, sign in or give us an email address to use the app.
  • Everything stays on your phone. What you add to Shadowkit is stored on your device and nowhere else.
  • No internet access. The Android app doesn’t request the internet permission, so it can’t send anything anywhere.
  • No analytics, ads or tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
  • Nothing is sold or shared. We don’t receive your data, so we have nothing to sell, share or hand over.

2. What the app stores on your device

Shadowkit stores the following on your phone, in the app’s private storage:

  • Money: your accounts, transactions, categories, tags and currencies.
  • Habits: your habits, goals and check-ins.
  • Counter: your counters and their counts.
  • Notifications: the reminders you create and when they’re due.
  • Data (Android only): how much data your phone has sent and received, split into Wi-Fi and mobile, by day.
  • Profiles and settings: your profile names, which skills are on Home, and your theme and other preferences.

This information never leaves your device through Shadowkit, and we can’t see it.

3. Permissions the app asks for

On Android, Shadowkit uses these permissions, each only for the feature named:

Permission Why
Notifications To show the reminders you set, and Data’s optional speed indicator
Alarms and reminders (exact alarms) So a reminder arrives at the minute you chose
Run at startup To put your reminders back after your phone restarts
Foreground service For Data’s optional live speed indicator in the status bar, which you turn on yourself
View network connections So Data can tell whether you’re on Wi-Fi or mobile data
Google Play billing To buy Shadowkit Pro through Google Play

The Data skill reads your phone’s own traffic counters: the total number of bytes sent and received. It can’t see which apps, websites or content that traffic belongs to.

4. Purchases

Shadowkit Pro is sold through Google Play or the App Store. The store takes your payment and keeps your payment details under its own privacy policy (Google, Apple). We never see your card or bank details.

The app checks with the store, on your device, which plan you own, so Pro keeps working offline. The store gives us limited details of each order, such as an order number, the product, the price, the country and the date. We use these only to handle refunds and answer support requests.

5. Backups and exports

  • Device backups. If you’ve turned on backup on your phone, Android (to your Google account) or iOS (to iCloud) may include Shadowkit’s data in its backup, so it comes back when you set up a new phone. Google or Apple runs that backup under your account and its settings; we have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone’s settings.
  • Exports. When you export a backup file from Shadowkit, the file goes wherever you choose to save or share it. It’s yours to keep, move or delete.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your phone for as long as you keep it there.

  • Deleting a profile removes that profile’s data from the app.
  • Uninstalling Shadowkit removes all of its data from your phone.

Because we don’t hold any of your app data, there’s nothing for us to delete on our side and no account to close.

7. Children

Shadowkit isn’t directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

8. This website

  • The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking scripts.
  • It loads nothing from other sites: fonts and images are served from shadowkit.app.
  • The site is hosted by Railway, and requests reach it through Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site. Like any website, they receive your IP address, browser details and the page you asked for in order to deliver it, and may keep these in short-lived logs for security and reliability.

9. When you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you, and we delete it when you ask.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Your app data is already under your control on your phone. For anything you’ve sent us by email, write to the address below and we’ll act on it within 30 days.

We don’t sell or share personal information, as those laws define it.

11. Security

Your data is kept in Shadowkit’s private storage on your phone, which other apps can’t read. To protect it further, use a screen lock on your device.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects what the app does with your information, we’ll also say so in the app’s release notes.
